In 2001, the General Conference organized SunPlus to provide standardized accounting software to church administrative units, schools, and institutions around the world. At the core of this strategy has been a commercial accounting and financial management software package known as Infor SunSystems. SunPlus has also facilitated the development of in-house payroll software known as Adventist Personnel System or APS.net.

Development, implementation, training, and support of these systems has been the focus of SunPlus throughout its history. The number of Adventist sites using SunSystems has grown from only a handful in 2003, to now over eleven hundred sites in 133 countries. This growth has been accomplished by a solid team of mission-minded employees, which also has grown to more than 30 individuals located in 10 countries.

SunPlus is at the forefront of financial and operational transformation within the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition to providing business applications which help mobilize resources for mission, SunPlus now provides cost-effective, mission-aligned Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services delivered through workforce hubs in worldwide strategic locations. By leveraging economies of scale, optimizing business processes and technology, strategically locating service centers for mission alignment, SunPlus now delivers consistent, high-quality services with agility.

The objective is clear – To empower Seventh-day Adventist denominational organizations with purpose-built business applications and global services that enable them to focus on mission priorities.
